Two militants and eight CRPF jawans were reportedly killed in a CRPF encounter with Ultras in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Saturday. According to reports heavily armed militants laid an ambush near Pampore’s Frestbal area of South of Srinagar, and opened fire on a CRPF bus causing injuries to three CRPF personnel, police said adding that two militants were also killed as the CRPF retaliated
In the exchange of fire five other jawans also succumbed to bullet injuries, media reports said.
DG CRPF has briefed Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the Pampore terrorist attack. The DG will visit Pampore on Sunday, reports said.
